Gunner 929954 Bert Favell

50^th Battery, 24th Field Regiment Royal Artillery

Born in 1919, Bert from Hartford in Huntingdon joined the Royal Artillery in 1939 and was part of the original expeditionary force.

He was evacuated from the beach at Dunkirk and later served in the Medditeranean and Italy.

He was awarded the 1939/45, Africa and Italy Stars.
