Following
the death of her husband, Hannah was left to bring up their children, George,
May, Leonard, Sidney and Reginald.
She was assisted in this by her sister-in-law Lucy & the children's Grandmother Ellen.
George Stephen Lewis grew up in Camden Town and started work with Standard Telephone & Cables (STC) at new Southgate. He married Annie Oxley and they had two sons, George and Maurice.
George's brothers Len (left) and Sidney. Len was killed on active service in Italy during World War II. Sidney married Lillian and they had two children.
Georges sister May also married and had children, but she died while still relatively young, aged about 40.
